When Linda Hoyt is asked what people should know about her professional career, she is often heard to say, "I'm a teacher. That will always be the heart of my professional work." Though she spent many years as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, curriculum developer, staff developer, and Title I District Coordinator, Linda's passion will always center around vigorous and engaging classrooms where teachers and children learn together. Sensational beautiful story by the talented Suzan Tisdale. This one will melt your heart so beautifully written

In this story originally in The Scrolls of Cridhe, Highland Winds, Volume one is about a woman Moirra with Four daughter looks for a temporary husband to help with her small farm until the harvest and then he is free to leave. So in other words in a marriage in name only although Morirra who has had several husbands already is no maid and doesn't seem To object to the idea of sharing a blanket with this handsome strange whom she call John Pilory since he won't share his true name. after all that is where she met. She also has secrets and does not know about that John Pilory odes not know.

John Pilory is running away from his past well to be honest he was kicked out puf his clan by his own Father calling him a whoreson and drunk. Which was true but then a tragedy on the family changes John forever as he is not longer the whoreson, drunk his family thinks. Yet for being at the wrong p
'lace at the wrong time he is set up by thr true the true thieves and has been spending the last four day days in the Pilory to say his mood is not good is understatement. Smelling and having rotten vegetables thrown at at you is not a pleasant experience to John. When beautiful Moirra makes him an offer he just can't refuse as first raising suspicions like he is being set upon by someone's idea of a joke.
Moira worries her daughters will gets too attached to John and started to love just when it is is time for him to leave. Or is is Moirra's own heart she needs to protects and heart broke when it is time for him to leave. John seems to be able to get alone with all of Moirra's daughters excepts eldest .

What a wonderful,fast paced, mysterious and adventurous novella I can't wait to read part two of this series and really find out how things turn out for this unlikely couple. As definitely not looking too good for Morirra! I really felt for this couple as they both have not had an easy path in life yet both have a bright outlook even when thing looked really grave and it was interesting to see how they both start to blossom as they get to know each other yet they both have pasts and secrets that neither want to discuss.

I found it interesting because under normal circumstances they would never have met as John brought up in wealth and Moirra just a little above poverty. I actually found Moirra teaching John life's lessons. Yet what happens after the harvest do they go there separate ways or do they decide to get a chance and open their hearts and take a chance on that thing called love. Something neither one is that familiar with.

Another sensational book by Suzan Tisdale you won't want to miss this one!

I was happy to discover another one of Suzan Tisdale's books

I was happy to discover another one of Suzan Tisdale's books! After reading her Clan MacDougall and Clan Graham series, I'm a fan. This was a short read, but instantly drew me in with the unusual beginning. I like that her characters are very like able, but aren't perfect, they have faults and shadows in their past. In this book John / Alyssander and Moirra aren't rich, titled, favored or starry eyed virgins, they are both adults who have lived life with both happiness and losses. Although it's great escapism to get lost in a good historical romance, it makes the characters more interesting and multi-faceted. I found myself definitely rooting for this little family and look forward to their on-going adventures.

Suzan Tisdale is yet another one of the Queens of Scottish Romance. You fall in love with her characters. If you really like a good story that makes you laugh until tears are pouring out of your eyes and yet suspenseful and a fast paced,page turner and all around good story. This is the story for you! Fantastic Textbook

This text is a perfect introduction to the science of ultrasound. In direct and succinct prose, the authors examine the scientific and technological practicalities of neuromuscular ultrasound. The online modules are also incredibly helpful in elucidating material from the text. Also appreciated are the copious references provided at the end of each chapter. Highly recommended for practitioners and students alike.

Nice Book, Online Videos No-Go

This is a short, succinct book that clearly covers the fundamentals of ultrasound technique in musculoskeletal applications. It is a conceptual book, organizing by system (muscle, nerve, etc) and pathology (motor neuron disease, myopathy, neuropathy), with some examples. It is concise, to the point, and clearly written. The pictures are of excellent quality, and well annotated and described. Illustrations are computer-generated graphics in appearance and are also well-conceived and clearly described. This is not a technique book, however. While it gives numerous examples on what a muscle-tendon looks like on ultrasound, it does not go into extensive detail on looking at the specific muscles/tendons of the rotater cuff, for example. It might give some specifics as examples, but this is not a comprehensive book that one can look up the anatomical relationship on all the important structures of the knee, and a systematic way to run through an knee ultrasound exam. Similarly, with injections. CTS injections are given as an example, but this is not an exhaustive techniques listing book. Finally, somewhat disappointingly, the online version of the book is basically the XML-embedded version of the book--> and for the life of me I cannot find the links to videos--> I don't think they work. So no videos, which is a big selling point of this book.

VERY GOOD RESOURCE

This book is well written. Perhaps a bit too brief at a few points that require deeper examination. Those sections, however, are adequately augmented by other data bases, so that really causes no problem. It provides a succinct background on the basic electronics, physics, biology, as needed. It goes, generally, into much greater detail on the new issues of operating the ultrasound. In particular, the hand held ultrasound devices can be very beneficial for providing the physician with essential information neccesary to make a valid diagnosis. I give everything a grade, and I believe that this book merits an "A-", which is very good. I recommend this book for health sciences libraries, hospital libraries, as well as physicians with an interest in the use of ultrasound equipment in order to achieve more accurate diagnoses. While radiologists, neurologists, and physiatrists might be particularly interested in this book, I believe that it is essential for primary care.

The book illustrates that in technology the ability to listen is equally important as the ability to create. It is a must-read book for every high-tech geek, but also for every software coder, team manager, team lead, and project manager. The main reason is that it opens the mind for ‘other’.
Lisa’s book adds to my perception of computational advances a lot. The most inspiring chapter talks about a software project in a remote part of the Peruvian Andes, where cultural aspects are embraced by the visiting computer scientists.
Computer science education and application are fascinating topics across the countries. I had a chance and privilege to experience the details of these fields in Poland, Germany, and in the US. My general impression is that in this book, Lisa combines the worldwide patterns into a comprehensive entirety.
I extract the thoughts about investing in solid and step by step industrial development, combining it with the social purpose, and exploring the emerging technologies. Lisa provides delightfully considerate conclusions on performing software engineering, certainly not closed in a box of code. The simple recipe for a conscious and successful software-based project may be to listen to our peers and colleagues with less of a personal agenda, all to come up with outstanding solutions.

Grade 1-3 Based on a true story of an 1856 storm off the coast of Maine, Abbie's tale is one of endurance and bravery. When her father, the lighthouse keeper, sails off for supplies, he leaves Abbie in charge of lighting the oil lamps in the twin towers of their lighthouse and making sure that they don't go out. When a huge storm hits, preventing her father from returning for four weeks, Abbie keeps those lamps burning, getting up several times each night to climb the towers to check them, scraping ice from the windows so the lights can be seen at sea. In the course of the storm, she also rescues her chickens from a huge wave, thus saving the family's only source of food. The Roops allow the natural drama of Abbie's story to emerge in simple sentences that are sometimes cut up awkwardly, but for the most part they are clear and compelling. An author's note gives the interesting historical basis of the story, but the tale stands alone as an exciting account of a young girl's courage. The vivid watercolor paintings are highly effective in detailing Abbie's job as well as creating atmosphere. All in all, one of the best historical beginning-to-readsa refreshing cold blast of salty real life.
